Pelletizer

The pelletizer from Three-Tec can be used to process strands into pellets or granules. The speed of the feed roller and the cutter are independently adjustable. This allows the extrudate feed to be perfectly matched to the extrudate and the pellet length or pellet size to be adjusted between 0.5 and 10 mm during processing.

The pelletizer has an integrated control system including a touch panel for user-friendly operation, or can be integrated into a higher-level system via an interface. Depending on the application, rotary knives with different numbers of blades, or different materials are used. The design of the cutting edge enables easy pelletizing of soft as well as hard extrudates.

 

The compact design allows the instrument to be placed in an isolator or in a laboratory environment with limited space.

Conveyor

The conveyor belt was designed for gentle transport of the extruded products which slowly cools down before being supplied to the granulator. Height and angle of the conveyor belt can be adjusted. It can be disassembled and cleaned easily. The conveyor speed is infinitely variable using a potentiometer.

The granulator was built to directly granulate the extruded products after the water bath or the conveyor belt. The granulate length can be adjusted by means of different cutting knifes or knife speeds. Due to gravitation, the extruded product can also be supplied to the granulator from above.

Spheronizer

The Spheroniser is equipped with an electrically heated hopper jacket or a hopper jacket that is heated by an external tempering device. It is designed for batch volumes of 5 to 250 grams. Different friction discs can be produced according to the customer’s request.
